Awarded for Significant Contributions to Workplace and Community

Fab-Tech Inc., Sales Operations Specialist, Bailey Gokey, has been recognized as a 2018 Rising Star by Vermont Business Magazine for her outstanding community service and exemplary work ethic. The award will be presented to her at a special reception and dinner to be held at the Trader Dukes Hotel on November 8th.

Bailey is among a select group of young Vermont professionals that were chosen by a panel of judges to be honored with the award this year.

"The Rising Stars program was started in 2010 to show Vermonters, and in particular the youth of Vermont, that there are people under the age of forty that do make significant contributions to this state and that they are a valued resource when it comes to their employers and their communities," said VBM Publisher John Boutin.

"I’m honored to be receiving the award. The award holds community service in high regard and community service is very important to me," said Bailey upon hearing news of the recognition.

In addition to her role as Sales Operations Specialist at Fab-Tech, Bailey serves actively in the Vermont National Guard and was instrumental in nominating Scott Fine, President of Fab-Tech, to receive the ESGR Patriot Award for his outstanding support and service of Vermont's Guard and Reserve members.

Bailey also actively volunteers with the Burlington Community Justice Center; currently assisting in a new organizational development initiative there. Also, she is a member on the Youth Restorative Justice panel. These panels are made up of 3-5 volunteers who meet with offenders and victims of low-level crimes in the community. The panel process helps to replace traditional criminal court proceedings for low-level offenders and has been successful at holding offenders accountable for the effects of their actions on others.

With this year's group of Rising Stars ranging in age from 24 - 39 years old, Bailey (age 24) is among the youngest recipients of the award this year.

"Fab-Tech is proud to employ and work alongside such courageous young professionals whose strength of character is reflected in the quality of their work and in their commitment to the community," said Fab-Tech President, Scott Fine.
