Airgard and Exyte Continue To Develop Services Collaboration

Exyte Services Singapore personnel recently installed an Airgard point-of-use gas scrubber at a semiconductor fab in Singapore, demonstrating a growing ability to leverage Exyte's global presence to insource commissioning which has so far been conducted by external parties.

To achieve the best results, it was essential to work closely with the client on site to fully comprehend their needs and make sure Exyte could deliver the value-added services that were required. "The great and effective teamwork between Airgard and Exyte Services paid off. Services Singapore has successfully completed its first scrubber commissioning. This was greatly appreciated by the client and [it] strengthened Exyte's position [as a service provider]," stated David Bayle, Product Management at Airgard.

The commissioned system, an Airgard Cyclone wet scrubber, is a point-of-use gas abatement system that cleans process gases in semiconductor manufacturing by capturing and neutralizing green-house-gases (GHGs) before they are exhausted from the facility. This enhances worker safety and prevents the release of harmful substances into the atmosphere.

Positioned For Shorter Service Response Times

Exyte Services has now successfully deployed dedicated engineers on site to manage commissioning and support activities for all Airgard products. Airgard can commit to its key clients two hours response time on site in case of emergency and is now in the process of training more engineers to support all Airgard clients in Singapore and Malaysia. Moving forward, Airgard also plans to support its clients in providing critical spare parts available on site to minimize equipment downtime in times of maintenance or service needs.

Airgard products, such as the Cyclone scrubber, are set to be used in a multitude of semiconductor manufacturing facilities in the region that are already operational or in a stage of construction, further highlighting the importance of having Exyte Service specialists available to readily install, commission and service the products.
